3 Tips to Succeed as an Ebook Writer
By Sean R Mize
Online publishing is a booming industry on its own right. More and more e-books on a wide variety of topics are being published everyday. Authors who have low chances of being published in a traditional manner are now finding refuge in online publishing.
Because e-books are cheap to produce, online publishers can afford to release Ebooks whose topics are not necessarily main stream. Thus, aspiring writers are moving towards online publishing for two reasons: to make a profitable career in it, or to use it as a stepping stone towards traditional publishing. Whatever their reasons are, many of them have found the success they've been looking for.
You can find that, too. You can succeed in Ebook writing with the following tips:
1. Choose a broad topic that can easily be broken down into sub-topics which can be discussed in separate chapters. Don’t pick a subject matter which you’ll find difficult to stretch over a lot of pages. Your readers can easily pick up if you’re just rambling on to fill in the space.
2. Popular topics in Ebooks usually involve guides, how-to and instructional texts, tips, and step-by-step manuals. An intriguing topic that usually leaves people wanting for more is one of your best bets. For example, you can write about ways with which a woman can understand a man better. Considering how many women are wondering about how a man thinks, your e-book is bound to get its fair share of attention.
3. Make your Ebook’s title as catchy as possible. Taking the previous example about an e-book exploring man’s mind, you can give that a title along the lines of “50 Things You Need to Know about Your Man.” This title is irresistible to your target audience, which leaves you in a position of great advantage. Just make sure the content of your e-book lives up to the title.
