Internet Marketing, ...The Fatal Assumption.

As an Internet Marketer in the 21st century, one that is attempting to achieve, and reach a particular status in my IM journeys, I have noticed a few glitches in the mentoring structure of the business at hand.
The things that I have noticed can ultimately cause one to give up hope, throw in the towel, and inevitably join the masses of individuals who have adopted the belief that no one can truly make a decent income as an Internet Marketer. I personally believe that this is far from the truth.
Have you ever found yourself sitting at your computer just staring at the monitor, or constantly and aimlessly surfing and never really ending up anywhere? Well, I have.
What I am about to share with you in this article, if implemented, can change your outlook and super charge your Internet Marketing business or any other business, like nothing else.
The Fatal Assumption - what is it? Well, there are probably quite a few, but I'll only address two in this article. They are, (drum roll please) .... Time Management and Setting Goals. You are probably saying to yourself, duh! Now truthfully ask yourself, Am I really managing my time properly and have I set goals for myself? In this business and in todays society with things coming at you as quickly as they do and moving as fast as they do, one can have a tendency to forget these simple, yet crucial, principles.
I guess you might also be saying to yourself, What does this have to with The Fatal Assumption? Here it is: we assume that everyone is prone to automatically think that time management and setting goals is a primary principle to success. While this should be a primary thought process, unfortunately for a lot of us it's not and we need to be reminded of the most basic principles of life.
Tips On Time Management And Setting Goals:
** Accessing Your Time - Be honest and truly evaluate how you have been spending your business day. Are you, as I mentioned earlier, aimlessly surfing the Internet ending up nowhere, or are you playing computer solitaire for hours on end?
** Things To Do List: After you have honestly come to grips with how you have been spending your business day, write down the things that need to be done or that can be done in the time allowed. Jot down three to five tasks and set out to complete them and be sure to complete them no matter what. Try your best to keep your daily tasks related. This will help you remain focused.
** A Bigger Picture /Weekly Planner: Each Sunday or Monday morning write down the things that you would like to accomplish for the week. Note: Some things on the weekly planner will be the same and should remain the same and become routine, but still write them down. This will cause you to form a habit of doing the right things, thus allowing for tremendous productivity.
** Know Time Like The Present**
** Overcoming Procrastination: Procrastination is another word for "Lazy". Take it from me, I ought to know. More importantly, I believe scheduling is the best way to overcome procrastination. First, letting go of your pride or get rid of the ego for a moment and allow someone from the outside that truly cares about your success in life to hold you accountable for completing your goals. It sounds simple but letting go of pride and ego for human beings is a task in itself.
Hey listen, if you are willing to just spend 10 to 15 minutes each morning mapping out your day, you can save yourself six hours per week. That's a lot of time saved based on the average 40 hour work week. This can be very beneficial in helping you to achieve your goals, thus allowing for financial independence and freedom, and having a more fulfilled life with your family and friends.
